Since 1999 I have had the pleasure to regularly visit the United Arab Emirates several times a year, to present a variety of seminars, workshops and courses to all levels of staff in key organisations in the fields of Oil Development, Continuing Education and Finance. Typical sessions range in duration from 2-hour intensives (for senior management) up to the more usual 5-day format.
Most clients choose a central city location for the seminars; however in 2001 the National Bank of Abu Dhabi invited me to present 20 of these workshops during a month-long tour that took me around the UAE, with presentations in Fujairah, Al Ain and Madinat Zayid as well as in Dubai & Abu Dhabi. Interactive, challenging and participative in nature, these sessions have addressed the key topics of Effective Communication; Delegation & Managing through Others; Client Care & Customer Service; Time Management; Effective Performance Feedback; Mentoring & Coaching; Team Dynamics & Building Effective Teams; Motivation & Rewards, and Leadership.
Despite the wide variety of participants in terms of experience, background, culture and seniority, the workshops have invariably been enthusiastically received by all concerned (see Referrals section). Indeed, the 5-day Effective Communication programme has become a standard part of one major client’s Graduate Engineers Induction Programme.
With further workshops and seminars already in place for this year, I am looking to increase my workload with other earnest, pro-active organisations across the region… in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in particular, but also elsewhere in the Middle East.
“Your unconventional way of keeping participants interested in the course till the last minute, made them very happy and for sure we will not let them forget what they have learnt during this course…”
